Does ESAT offer recognized studies?
HNDs (Higher National Diplomas) are official qualifications in the United Kingdom with a credit load of 120 ECTS. HNDs lead you towards a Bachelor’s Degree, at one of the most prestigious universities of the United Kingdom. HNDs are qualifications recognized all around the European Union.
What is an HND?
The HND is an official British qualification of higher level, valid throughout the European Union. At the end of the studies, the student can choose to enter the labor market or to continue studying a top up year in any University of the United Kingdom, to obtain a Bachelor in Honors.
As a PEARSON Authorized Center, ESAT provides several HNDs. The students who take our educational offer obtain the HND degree in any of the chosen specialties. These degrees come to cover the market niche originated by the rigid Spanish educational system in terms of access to the university.

What is Pearson and what are BTEC qualifications?
Pearson is an educational organism regulated and organized by Ofqual, the state regulator of qualifications, in the United Kingdom. Pearson is the biggest awarding body in the United Kingdom. The BTEC qualifications represent technical qualifications of wide status (level 1 to level 8), starting from basic formative levels up to high standard qualifications.
Official Pearson centers, such as ESAT, ensure that all their students face rigorous educational standards to achieving success, offering them educational and professional progression according to their choice.
Which are the features of a BTEC formation at ESAT?
- Curriculum completely adapted to the Valencian business reality and to its demand.
- By studying a Top Up Year at an English University you will get a Bachelor Degree.

- Each subject is based on objectives that must be overcome. It is necessary to have overcome ALL targets of a module or subject to obtain a PASS.

These qualifications are designed to prepare our students for the labor market and also, to allow a progression towards a University degree. In particular, BTEC HND allows an academic progression, which means that our students will only need to study one more year to obtain their degrees (Bachelors).
What are the access conditions for studying an HND at ESAT?
All students interested in enrolling in ESAT must meet at least one of the access conditions listed below:
Direct entry
- COU
- FP2 (middle grade of vocational training)
- 2nd baccalaureate LOMSE/LOGSE
- PAU (university entrance exam) for over 25 years
- 2nd scientific baccalaureate without PAU
- Foreign studies equivalent to the Spanish Baccalaureate
- CFGS or CFGM passing an overcome CFGS qualifying exam
- University studies
Ability test
Students over 18 years old have two options: have an interview with our admittance department, where a review of their personal project will be carried out, or by submitting a reference letter.

Could I study these HNDs somewhere else in Spain?
There are different authorized Pearson centers all around Spain. ESAT has agreements with Pearson centers on a global scale, a geographical mobility will not represent a problem; that means our students might finish their studies in any other city where an authorized Pearson center exists.
Can I continue studying abroad?
Yes, at universities from the United Kingdom. These university institutions demand our students an intermediate English level supported by objective tests such as IELTS, TOEFL and of course the overcoming of the corresponding HND.
