The meaning of ESAT
Our name, Escuela Superior de Arte y Tecnología, is internationally recognized by its acronym. ESAT is the only School in Spain that maintains progression agreements with the most prestigious universities in design and videogames.
Escuela (School)
For those who like to practice without having any knowledge, it´s like a sailor without a rudder or compass, who will never know for sure, where to go. Practice should always be based on a solid theory.
Superior (Higher Education)
When someone wants to fly, they have to be free from the waist up so they can balance, as well as when sailing, so that the center of gravity of the person and of the machine may be countered, and change according to the needs of their center of resistance. The most useful science is that whose result is the most communicable.
Arte (Art)
The young people must first learn the perspective and then, the proportions of the objects. Next, they will be able to copy works of some professional, in order to get used to the elegant forms. After that, they will apply the rules learnt, in a natural way. Later they will observe for a certain time, the works of various professionals. And finally they will acquire the habit of practicing the art.
Tecnología (Technology)
We call mechanical knowledge the one generated by the experience, and scientist the one which begins and finishes in the spirit; semi-mechanic, to the one born from science which ends in the manually doing. The instrumental science is the most noble and far above all the other sciences, the most useful. Thanks to them all the animated bodies can execute their actions.
