“Inside the mind of an artist” by Solimán López, at Bancaja Foundation.
On October 29th, Bancaja Foundation hosted an interesting exhibition entitled “Picasso and the Museum”. ESAT_Lab headed by Solimán López and the Fine Arts 2.0 HND students presented “Inside the mind of an artist.”
As an R&D department, ESAT_Lab has set up an interactive art installation especially designed for this exhibition. The exhibition can be visited at Bancaja Foundation, Valencia. The above mentioned art installation allows to create some of Picasso most famous artworks . It might be done by using a Kinect device, a motion sensing controller which is able to pick up visitors gestures and convert them into a quite original visual composition along with pieces of the artist´s work of arts, which represented an inspiration for the Spanish artist.
Solimán López is the person in charge of ESAT_Lab, a laboratory committed to a continuous research and development in areas such as entertainment, technology and visual arts applied to social community. Both professors and brilliant students belonging to Videogames Programming and Computer Game Animation HNDs participate in this particular project.
The exhibition and associated activities will be available to public until February 28th, 2016.
